As a research study I developed a game for mobile and PC platforms in collaboration with the European Space Agency to show the impact of games on motivation in citizen science tasks, which are often perceived as boring.




The game was developed in Unity and the backend written in ASP.NET and Entity Framework.
Over the course of 1 year the players marked about 7.7 million craters on the lunar surface, which will help guide future moon missions and give key insights about the lunar surface.
The game was well received and even featured on the German national 20:00 news “Tagesschau”
